Company formation and compliance in Bahrain.

Register a W.L.L. (the default vehicle), an S.P.C. for a sole founder or a B.S.C. for larger and regulated businesses in the commercial register through Sijilat, where MOIC issues the Commercial Registration and a licence for each commercial activity; up to 100% foreign ownership is permitted in most activities, but the permitted percentage is activity-dependent. Bahrain's headline feature is tax: no general corporate income tax (0% for every sector except oil, gas and hydrocarbon extraction, taxed at 46%) and no personal income tax. VAT is 10%, with registration mandatory above BHD 37,500 of annual taxable supplies and voluntary above BHD 18,750. The 15% Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax from 2025 reaches only constituent entities of MNE groups at or above EUR 750m consolidated revenue. Every MOIC and NBR domain blocked our verification session, so no statutory fee is quoted here and every figure above is indicative, drawn from PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries rather than an authority page.
