Trademark Registration in Singapore
Singapore trade mark application with IPOS — Form TM4, filed online through IPOS Digital Hub. The official fee is S$280 per class where every specification item is adopted from IPOS' pre-approved Classification Database, and S$410 per class for a custom description; SG Trade Marks Fast, an acceleration programme (not a discount), adds S$200 per class on the pre-approved fee (S$250 per class where the specification is custom). After examination the accepted mark is published in the Trade Marks Journal and any interested party may oppose within two months. Registration runs for 10 years from the date of registration and is renewable indefinitely for successive 10-year periods at S$480 per class on or before expiry. An applicant must have an address for service in Singapore: a foreign applicant without one (or without Singpass/Corppass) must appoint a local agent to transact with IPOS.

Singapore address for service, or appointment of a local agent
VERIFIED on IPOS' how-to-register page: an applicant must have a Singapore address for service to transact with IPOS. A foreign applicant with Singpass/Corppass and a Singapore address for service may file directly via IPOS Digital Hub; otherwise a local agent must be appointed. A Madrid Protocol application designating Singapore must give an authorised Singapore address for service when responding via Digital Hub.
