Trademark Registration in Portugal
Portuguese national trade mark (marca) application with the INPI — the online application including one class is €148.71 (paper is double), with €37.69 for each additional class, and a €62.83 grant fee (concessão) payable when the registration is granted. Examination, publication in the Boletim da Propriedade Industrial and an opposition window follow, for a 10-year renewable term. Protection across the whole EU can alternatively be sought as an EU trade mark at the EUIPO, or Portugal designated via the Madrid System.
