Tax Registration in Philippines
Registration with the BIR — a corporation files BIR Form 1903 (a sole proprietor Form 1901) to obtain the Certificate of Registration (Form 2303), a Taxpayer Identification Number, registered books of account and authority to print / issue invoices. VAT registration is required where gross sales exceed PHP 3,000,000 in any 12-month period (standard VAT 12%); below that a business is on the 3% percentage tax instead.

| BIR registration feeThe PHP 500 annual registration fee was removed by the Ease of Paying Taxes Act (RA 11976); registration as such carries documentary-stamp and printing costs rather than a fixed registration fee. Confirm the current position against bir.gov.ph. | Confirmed before payment |
