Trademark Registration in Oman
Omani national trade mark application with the MOCIIP Intellectual Property Department. Oman is a GCC member and trade marks are governed by the GCC Trademark Law as implemented nationally, filed and examined through the MOCIIP IP Department. Filing is single-class under the Nice Classification — a separate application for each class of goods or services — and the term is commonly reported as 10 years from filing, renewable for successive 10-year periods. Oman is a party to the Madrid Protocol, so protection can alternatively be sought by designating Oman in an international registration via WIPO.
