Omani national patent prosecution with the MOCIIP Intellectual Property Department — drafting, filing, examination, grant and the renewals that maintain the right. The regional shortcut is gone: the GCC Patent Office stopped accepting new applications from 6 January 2021, so new filings go through the national MOCIIP route, or enter the national phase from a PCT application, Oman being a PCT contracting state.
