Trademark Registration in Malaysia
Malaysian national trade mark application with MyIPO under the Trademarks Act 2019 (Act 815). Filing is per Nice class; using MyIPO's pre-approved list of goods/services attracts a lower per-class fee. Registration runs for 10 years from the filing date, renewable indefinitely for successive 10-year periods. Malaysia is first-to-file and a Madrid Protocol member, so international registration designating Malaysia is available. A foreign applicant with no address for service in Malaysia must appoint a registered Malaysian trade-mark agent.
