Local Representative Appointed
For an applicant resident or principally established outside Mauritius, a Mauritius legal practitioner or approved agent is appointed — mandatory under s.136 of the Industrial Property Act 2019.
Application Filed
Filed with the Industrial Property Office (Rs 6,000 for the first class, Rs 2,000 per additional class); file number issued.
Examined & Published
The Office examines the mark and publishes it; an opposition period runs, whose exact length we confirm with the Office at the time.
Registered
Certificate of registration issued for a 10-year term from filing, renewable for successive 10-year periods.
