Annual Compliance in Malta
Keeping a Maltese company in good standing with the MBR: the Annual Return (filed within 42 days of the company's made-up date, with a registration fee scaled by authorised share capital), the audited financial statements (approved within 10 months of year-end for a private company / 7 months for a public company, then filed within 42 days of approval — online submission is now mandatory), and the annual beneficial-owner (BO) confirmation within 42 days of the made-up date. Late filing carries penalties reported up to €2,329.37 per return and, on persistent default, striking off.
