Registration of the premises as a factory and the licence to operate it under the Factories Act 1948 in Uttar Pradesh. Governed by the Factories Act, 1948; Uttar Pradesh Factories Rules, 1950, rules 7 (registration and licence fee schedule), 8 (amendment) and 9 (renewal). Applies where: Factories Act definition (10+ workers with power / 20+ without) - not restated in the Rules text read. Renewal: Licence renewable for ten years at a time on payment of the Schedule fee for every year (five years for s.2(cb) hazardous-process factories; three years for MSIHC Rules units); late renewal attracts a 25% surcharge (rule 9). The authority does not publish a fee we could read at source, so the State fee is quoted per engagement and passed through at cost — we never substitute a plausible figure.

Our fee and the government’s are always separate lines. Government fees are passed through at exactly what the authority charges — we add nothing to them.

These are the authority’s published lines. Which of them apply depends on your filing — a schedule by headcount, capital or entity type is one line, not all of them — and the applicable line is confirmed before payment, at cost.
