Factory Licence in Mizoram
Registration of the premises as a factory and the licence to operate it under the Factories Act 1948 in Mizoram. Governed by The Factories Act, 1948 read with the Mizoram Factories Rules, 2014 (rules 6 to 13 and Schedule I). Applies where: Every factory as defined by the Factories Act, 1948. The Rules do not restate the worker or power threshold. Renewal: Every licence, granted or renewed, remains in force up to 31 December of the year for or up to which it is renewed (rule 7(4)). Renewal is applied for in triplicate in Form No.5 not less than 30 days before expiry; if a complete application is made in time the premises are held duly licensed until the renewal issues. The renewal fee equals the grant fee, BUT a late application is renewed only on payment of a fee twenty five per cent in excess of the fee ordinarily payable. The authority does not publish a fee we could read at source, so the State fee is quoted per engagement and passed through at cost — we never substitute a plausible figure.
