The municipal trade licence permitting a trade to be carried on at a given address in Karnataka. Governed by The Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 (Schedule X) for corporations, and the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 for municipalities - administered per urban local body. Applies where: Any business carrying on a commercial, industrial or service activity listed in Schedule X of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 within the corporation's jurisdiction. No employee or turnover minimum. Renewal: Annual. The licence expires on 31 March each year. The authority does not publish a fee we could read at source, so the State fee is quoted per engagement and passed through at cost — we never substitute a plausible figure.
