Cost breakdown

Our fee and the government’s are always separate lines. Government fees are passed through at exactly what the authority charges — we add nothing to them.

Government fee for new GST registration (Form GST REG-01) on the GST portalRead: "GST registration is free for most businesses in India. The government does not charge any registration fees for businesses registering under the GST Act." CGST Act s.25 and CGST Rule 8 read on taxinformation.cbic.gov.in (chapter6/section25_v1.00.html, chapter3/rule8_v1.00.html): neither contains a fee provision. GST portal pages (tutorial.gst.gov.in registration General.htm, Apply_for_Registration_Normal_Taxpayer.htm) and CBIC pdf/faq-manual/faqs-registration.pdf are silent on fee, so no.gov.in page states nil in words. Setindiabiz: 'the Indian government does not impose any new gst number registration fees, so you can say that the process is entirely free.' Kanakkupillai: 'India has no government fee when registering for GST.'No statutory feeIndicative — from IndiaFilings - GST Registration Fees in India, not confirmed on a government portal.
