Registration of the premises as a factory and the licence to operate it under the Factories Act 1948 in Gujarat. Governed by the Factories Act, 1948 read with the Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963, Rule 4 and the Schedule thereto (Schedule substituted with effect from 5 June 2006). Applies where: Application in triplicate in Form No. 2 for registration together with Form No. 3 for the grant of a licence. Where the Act is applied to a place by a notification under section 15, the application must be submitted within 30 days of the notification.
