ESIC Registration in India
Employer registration with the ESIC for medical and cash benefits, applying to an establishment employing 10 or more persons and covering employees drawing gross wages up to Rs 21,000 a month (Rs 25,000 for a person with disability). The contribution rates in force since 1 July 2019 under the ESI (Central) Rules 1950 are 3.25% from the employer and 0.75% from the employee, remitted by the 15th of the following month. A few States set the coverage threshold at 20 by their own notification.
