Factory Licence in Bihar
Registration of the premises as a factory and the licence to operate it under the Factories Act 1948 in Bihar. Governed by the Factories Act, 1948 read with the Bihar Factory Rules, 1950 (rule 62AH governs site appraisal for hazardous processes). Applies where: Application in Form No. 2 accompanied by land papers, company documents including the board resolution appointing the occupier under section 2(n) (the occupier must be a member of the board for a public limited company), a NOC/Consent to Operate from the Bihar State Pollution Control Board, plant and machinery and raw material lists and a Detailed Project Report. Industries involving a hazardous process under the First Schedule must first apply for site appraisal under rule 62AH of the Bihar Factory Rules 1950. Renewal: For a factory covered by section 85 of the Factories Act, the department states the licence is valid until the closure of the factory, provided the specified facts on the licence are not amended. The State fee below was read from the authority's own published schedule and is passed through at cost.
