Registration of a shop or commercial establishment under the State's own Shops and Establishments legislation in Assam. Governed by The Assam Shops and Establishments Act, 1971 (as amended, most recently by the Assam Shops and Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2025). Applies where: Every shop, commercial establishment and entertainment/amusement establishment must register; the registration fee is slabbed by number of employees and by category (shop, commercial establishment, hotel/restaurant, multiplex), from establishments with no employees up to 51+ employees. Renewal: Annual (calendar year); auto-renewal facility available via the EODB portal. The State fee below was read from the authority's own published schedule and is passed through at cost.
