Factory Licence in Andaman & Nicobar Islands
Registration of the premises as a factory and the licence to operate it under the Factories Act 1948 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Governed by the Factories Act, 1948, with the A&N Islands Factories Rules, 1970. Amendment rules were notified in 2025 (Factories (ANI Amendment) 2025) and a further Factory Rules 2025 document is published; the A&N administration has also pre-published draft Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (A&N Islands) Rules, 2024 and 2026 under the OSH Code, 2020. Renewal: Issuance of licence AND renewal are a single named service in the Citizen Charter, under the Inspector of Factories. The authority does not publish a fee we could read at source, so the State fee is quoted per engagement and passed through at cost — we never substitute a plausible figure.
