Trademark Registration in Hong Kong
Hong Kong trade mark application with the IPD — Form T2 costs HK$2,000 for the first class and HK$1,000 for each additional class in the same multi-class application, with an optional Form T1 search and preliminary advice at HK$400 (plus HK$200 per additional class) before filing. After examination the application is published in the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Journal and a third party has three months to oppose on Form T6 (HK$800). Registration lasts 10 years from the date of registration and is renewable indefinitely for further 10-year periods: renewal on Form T8 is HK$2,670 (HK$1,340 per additional class), filed within the six months before expiry or in the six-month grace period after it with a HK$500 late surcharge. There is no startup or small-enterprise fee concession — every applicant pays the same. A foreign applicant must supply an address for service in Hong Kong.

An address for service in Hong Kong
VERIFIED hard requirement: a real Hong Kong residential or business address. It cannot be a P.O. Box, a virtual office, a 'care of' address or an email. An applicant with no Hong Kong presence must appoint a local trade mark agent or representative whose Hong Kong address is used.

Availability is searched across the relevant classes, optionally as a formal Form T1 request for search and preliminary advice (HK$400, plus HK$200 per additional class).
Application Filed
Form T2 is filed with the IPD with the mark, the class list and a Hong Kong address for service; HK$2,000 for the first class and HK$1,000 per additional class is paid and the application number issues.
Examined & Published
The IPD examines the application and publishes it in the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Journal; a third party may oppose on Form T6 within three months.
Registered
Unopposed, the mark proceeds to registration for a 10-year term from the date of registration, renewable indefinitely on Form T8 (HK$2,670 per class).
