Tax Registration in Estonia
Registration with the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (EMTA). A company is registered as a taxable person for employment taxes when it starts paying wages, and VAT registration becomes mandatory once taxable supply exceeds €40,000 from the start of the calendar year (voluntary registration is possible below that; intra-Community acquisitions over €10,000/year trigger limited VAT liability). There is no government fee to register. Standard VAT is 24% from 1 July 2025.
