Estonian patent prosecution with the Patent Office — standard filing €225 (reduced to €56 where all applicants are natural persons), €13 for each claim over 10, and a €96 registration fee to enter the granted invention in the patent register. The patent runs 20 years from filing, maintained by a graduated schedule of annual fees (years 1–2 €26 each, year 3 €64, rising progressively across years 4–20). Estonia also offers utility-model protection (kasulik mudel) as a faster/cheaper alternative, and a European patent via the EPO can designate and be validated in Estonia.
