Registration with the Finanzamt via the tax questionnaire (Fragebogen zur steuerlichen Erfassung) that follows trade registration, obtaining the tax number and — for cross-border trade — a VAT identification number from the Bundeszentralamt für Steuern. Corporation tax is 15% plus a 5.5% solidarity surcharge on it; standard VAT is 19%. No government fee applies.
