  • Trade mark adverse examination report - Objection raised on examination of a trade mark application

The applicant must respond to overcome the objections within the period set (an initial period with extensions available on payment); failure leads to lapsing. A hearing can be requested. (not verified against the authority's own page)

  • Trade mark opposition - A third party opposes within 2 months of acceptance

The applicant files a notice of intention to defend and then evidence stages follow, leading to a hearing. Opposition is a formal inter partes proceeding.

  • Patent examination report (adverse report / objections) - Examination following a request for examination

The applicant must place the application in order for acceptance within the prescribed acceptance period (generally 12 months from the first report), responding to each objection; extensions of time are available on payment. (not verified against the authority's own page)

  • ASIC late-review-fee / annual statement notice - Failure to pay the annual review fee or pass the solvency resolution within 2 months of the review date

Pay the annual review fee plus the late-payment penalty; continued non-payment can lead to the company being deregistered. (not verified against the authority's own page)

  • ATO assessment, amended assessment, and default/penalty notices - Company tax return processing, review or audit; late lodgement; unpaid BAS/PAYG/super

Pay the assessed amount by the due date or object within the statutory objection period; unpaid superannuation guarantee triggers the Superannuation Guarantee Charge; general interest charge accrues on unpaid tax. (not verified against the authority's own page)
