National trademark registration with the Ministry of Economy & Tourism — trademarks are registered nationally and there is no separate emirate registry. Filing and fees are per class under the Nice Classification: AED 750 to apply, AED 750 to publish and AED 5,000 for final registration, so AED 6,500 per class in government fees under the schedule reflecting Cabinet Resolution No. 102 of 2025. MOET states it studies the application and issues a decision within 45 working days; objections to acceptance run for 30 days from publication in the Trademarks Bulletin, and the certificate issues within 30 days from the end of that objection period. Where the owner is from outside the country it is obligatory to file through a registration agent with a legal and notarised power of attorney attached, and foreign-language marks, documents and powers of attorney must be notarised, legalised and translated into Arabic by a certified legal translator.
